Massage Therapy is a method of healing that utilizes human touch to promote relaxation, relief of tension, and a greater level of well being. Massage is used as a complement to many other forms of healing. Massage therapy promotes healthy circulation, ease of movement, deep breathing, strong immunity, and mental clarity. Massage lowers stress and anxiety levels, reduces blood pressure, and shortens the healing time of injuries. Massage is an effective way to increase the body's receptivity to chiropractic alignment. Used before an adjustment to warm and soften tight muscles, and afterward, to encourage the body to accept and retain the treatment.

Swedish massage is a soft tissue “relaxation massage” that works to relieve stress and tension in the musculoskeletal system. Swedish massage provides many benefits including generalized relaxation, lower blood pressure and heart rate, dissolution of scar tissue, and increased circulation. It also increases the oxygen flow in the blood and shortens recovery time from muscular strains by flushing tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is recommended as part of regular programs for stress management. Swedish massage is a safe and effective treatment that benefits people of all ages and conditions
Deep tissue massage is a deep-reaching muscle therapy intended for the relief of stubborn knots in areas of chronic tension and pain. Commonly used during the initial, intensive chiropractic treatment stage; deep tissue massage is geared toward those with acute and chronic muscular pain or tension, as well as those who maintain a high level of physical activity on a regular basis. It is designed to release compacted tissue, increase circulation, erase trigger points, and reduce nerve entrapment. It is very effective in the treatment of chronic muscular pain, injury rehabilitation, inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis, and pain due to injury, stress, repetitive strain, postural distortion, or post surgical syndromes.
Myofascial release is a whole-body, hands on approach for the evaluation and treatment of the human structure. Its focus is the fascial system. Fascia is the firm like substance that separates muscles, and allows them to glide over each other. Physical trauma, inflammatory processes, structural imbalances from dental misalignment, leg length discrepancy, whiplash, surgery, poor posture, and repetitive stress can all create fascial strain. When strained, the fascia tightens, exerting pressure produced pain, stiffness, and restriction of motion. Myofascial release provides sustained pressure into restrictions to eliminate pain, reinforce the lymph system, correct structural imbalances, restore range of motion, and foster faster healing of strained muscles. It is a highly effective therapeutic approach for the relief of cervical pain, scoliosis, chronic pain, migraines, and many other conditions
Sports massage is a special form of massage that consists of specific components designed to reduce injuries, alleviate inflammation, provide warm-up, and enhance athletic performance for both amateur and professional athletes. Sports massage in contrast to relaxation massage is more vigorous; working to stimulate circulation, allow increased blood flow to the muscles for optimal performance, and assist in the removal of toxins (lactic acids) that build up in the muscles during exercise. Each type of sport has different demands, and uses muscle groups in different ways. Sports massage is designed to address those specific concerns and may differ according to the sport played. Commonly used to increase athletic endurance, enhance performance, lessen chances of injury, and reduce recovery time.
Trigger Point Therapy is a manual therapy technique that works on areas of uncontrolled muscle tightness, within fatigued and strained muscles, that interfere with normal muscle function. Trigger points restrict range of motion, cause muscle weakness, and are painful to touch or apply pressure to. Trigger point therapy works to loosen up and target your most "troubled" muscles; providing intensive massage work on the areas where you need it most!
Neuromuscular Re-Education
Every muscle in the musculoskeletal system has a memory. If neuromuscular or structural distress occurs over a long enough period of time muscles have a tendency to remain in or return to the place of structural distress causing pain, tension, and muscle spasm. Neuromuscular therapy helps balance the nervous and musculoskeletal systems of the body by “re-educating” or re-training the muscles to release spasm and tension, and return to the place of structural normalcy. Commonly used to relieve and reduce trigger points, nerve entrapment, postural distortion, and dysfunctional biomechanics.
The pelvis is the foundation of the entire body structure. When it is out of balance it causes the rest of the structure to become misaligned. An adjustment applies controlled force to the spine and pelvis to correct vertebral subluxations, restore pelvic structure, and stabilize the spine. Pelvic stabilization helps to stabilize, improve treatment response, and maintain nervous system structure and placement for patients whose hips/tendons are not yet strong enough to maintain alignment between adjustments.
